The domain

Located in Meloisey, in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, the Denis Carré family estate covers more than 13 hectares and produces a dozen appellations in the Côte de Beaune and Hautes Côtes de Beaune. Committed to organic farming techniques since 2008, the estate is in the process of obtaining Organic Agriculture certification.

Thanks to their passion for the terroir and their love of a job well done, Denis, Bernadette, Gaëtane and Martial Carré produce delicious, perfectly balanced wines of great elegance and finesse, which are regularly cited and rewarded by the specialised press, and acclaimed by professionals and wine lovers alike.

Terroir and breeding

Located on the edge of the Meursault appellation on the famous Sous la Velle terroir, the vines that give birth to this excellent Chardonnay grow on marl and marly limestone soil. The vineyard is worked according to organic farming techniques. The average yield is 55hl per hectare. Pressing then fermentation in barrels, stirring of the lees. Aging: 10 months in French oak barrels, then bottled at the estate.

Tasting notes

Pale gold colour, limpid. The nose is very elegant and has a beautiful complexity. It is both floral and fruity, with very light honey and butter notes. The attack is fresh and balanced, with a beautiful richness of aromas and a very good length. This excellent wine will accompany rich aperitifs as well as fish and seafood dishes.
