Terroir and breeding
The old vines that produce this characterful Savigny-les-Beaune were planted in 1955, 1960 and 1964. They grow on well-drained clay-limestone soil facing south. The vines are cultivated using organic farming techniques. Vinification: 15 days in temperature-controlled vats, then aged for 14 to 16 months in French oak barrels before bottling at the estate.
Tasting notes
Ruby colour with garnet highlights, bright and clear. Characterised by great elegance, the nose reveals notes of black and red berries, morello cherry and raspberry. The palate is fruity, supple, with good amplitude and great finesse. Silky tannins underscore a beautiful persistence on the fruit. This excellent Pinot Noir will pair harmoniously with a nice cut of beef, roast poultry or mild cheeses with sweet flavours.
