Terroir and breeding
The old vines that give birth to this Savigny-les-Beaune of character grow on gravelly, stony soil with sandy undertones. The average yield is 48hl/hectare. The vineyard is worked according to organic farming techniques. Vinification: 15 days in temperature-controlled vats, then aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, before bottling at the estate.
Tasting notes
Bright, clear ruby colour with garnet tints. Characterised by great elegance, the nose announces notes of small black and red fruits, morello cherry and raspberry. The mouth is fruity, supple, with a beautiful amplitude and great finesse. Silky tannins underline a beautiful persistence on the fruit. This excellent Pinot Noir will go well with a fine piece of beef, roast poultry or light cheeses with sweet flavours.
