The domain
A family estate created in 1986, Maison Henry is nestled in the heart of the Auxerrois and Chablisien vineyards, in Saint-Cyr Les Colons. Today, Pascal and Pascale Henry run the estate and market a range of excellent gourmet wines, which bear the authentic signature of Burgundy wines. The estate extends over 15 hectares of mature vines planted with Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Pascal Henry expresses all his talent and produces well-balanced wines of great elegance which are regularly awarded in competitions.
Terroir and breeding
Planted on a Kimmeridgian soil with a clay-limestone composition, the 3.5 hectares of vines that produce this excellent Aligoté are worked in a sustainable way. Mechanical harvesting allows to carefully adapt the date of harvesting right up to the last moment in order to have grapes at optimum maturity and to guarantee the best balance between sugar and acidity.
Alcoholic fermentation with selected yeasts, temperature control. Malolactic fermentation. Fermentation and maturation are carried out in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting notes
Pale yellow colour with golden hues. The nose is very fine and elegant with notes of fresh yellow fruit. The palate is balanced with a finish of yellow fruit and a touch of citrus that awakens the taste buds. Its acidity will awaken your snails with parsley butter. It will also enhance a seafood platter, a charcuterie or a fondue.
